I like stuff with romantic elements and angst, usually YA, fantasy, paranormal/urban fantasy or variations thereof. Usually wrinkles nose at sci-fi due to unlikely tech. Straight girl who likes boys that like boys!
That was really sweet. And really funny. But also of course completely predictable.
The MC is excitable, very very fruity and has a great rambling voice throughout the whole book that matches his personality. The cast of characters (his Mum and Keisha!) are great. And it's English! I love it when I (accidentally) stumble across something closer to home (I should probably read more Norwegian books. Someday). It has a slight reminiscent feel of Glitterland by Alexis Hall, but without the underlying seriousness that made Glitterland so extra super duper good.
Recommended if you want something nice, fluffy and funny - unless you hate Jude's voice, but that you will figure out within about 2 pages :-)
